HSV Launches 2018 Range

HSV is excited to announce it's model range and "new horizons" for 2018.

As shared with dealership staff at Mt Cotton Training Centre in Queensland recently, HSV is excited to announce its model range and “new horizons” for 2018.

The new agreement between HSV and GM Holden marks a pivotal moment in HSV’s 30-year history in Australia and begins an exciting chapter in bringing a whole new breed of vehicles to market including some of the very best from across the GM world.

Customers can expect to see two streams of product developments emerging from HSV in future - one focusing on traditional vehicle enhancement, as has been the company’s history, with the other on re-engineering global GM vehicles from left to right-hand-drive.
In the first expression of this new agreement, HSV is pleased to confirm its intention to launch three exciting new models in 2018.

Colorado SportsCat, a derivation of the volume-selling Colorado 4x4 Crew Cab Pick-up, will be the first vehicle produced, with right-hand-drive conversions of two iconic Chevrolet models – Silverado and Camaro – to follow.

COLORADO SPORTSCAT
Playing to HSV’s niche design and engineering capabilities, the Colorado SportsCat features a raft of styling and chassis enhancements that will position it as the most advanced sports 4x4 on the market.

CHEVROLET SILVERADO
For over 100 years, Chevrolet has forged an enviable reputation for building strong and dependable “full-size” pick-up trucks, and HSV has committed to bringing their pinnacle model – the Silverado – to Australia and New Zealand.

Power, payload and towing capability are what Silverado is famous for and all these attributes will be reflected in the five-model 4x4 Crew Cab line-up that HSV will offer:

• 2500HD WT (“Work Truck”)
• 2500HD LTZ
• 2500HD LTZ “Midnight” Edition
• 2500HD LTZ “Custom Sport” Edition
• 3500HD LTZ

CHEVROLET CAMARO
The Chevrolet Camaro defines performance and this legendary nameplate, in the form of the Camaro 2SS Coupe, will also be imported and converted to right-hand-drive by HSV, and available later in 2018.

The driving force behind the Camaro 2SS is Chevrolet’s 6.2L Generation V LT1 Direct Injection V8 engine and, in addition to some impressive power and torque figures, also features Performance suspension, 4-piston Brembo brakes, 20” alloys and styling inside and out that makes a bold statement.

All three model ranges present exciting new opportunities for our collective businesses and we hope you share our extreme confidence in their potential.

Pricing for all three model ranges is still to be confirmed and will be the subject of a separate communication.

We will also be using the introduction of our 2018 model range to introduce a freshened HSV logo.

This new “visual identity” offers a more contemporary interpretation of the “Lion & Helmet” that has adorned HSV vehicles, and represented the company, since its inception in 1987.

There is no doubt the current logo has served Holden well over many years, but as the business transitions to encompass a far broader array of product offerings, we thought it appropriate to adopt this new logo to help signify our new and expanded brand promise.
