Holden Hoping For A Ryan Fox Birdie-Blitz In Support Of Kaikoura At World Cup Of Golf
Holden New Zealand Ambassador Ryan Fox has pledged to donate $500 per birdie he shoots at this week’s World Cup of Golf to the Kaikoura earthquake fund – and now the brand he represents has promised not only vehicle support to help people affected by the quake, but to match his donation dollar for dollar.
“We congratulated Ryan when he announced this initiative and have decided to contribute in the way we know best, through the provision of vehicles to assist with relief efforts,” said the Managing Director of Holden New Zealand, Kristian Aquilina.
“However, given Ryan’s role as a Holden Ambassador, we have decided to step up and mirror his donation. We hope he enjoys red-hot form as we want to make a substantial donation, as well as provide a fleet of vehicles,” said Mr Aquilina.
Holden dealerships in and around the affected area, including Blackwells in Christchurch and Wadsco in Blenheim, have already provided help by way of vehicle support and the offer from Holden New Zealand builds on this assistance.
“Initiatives such as this go to show Holden is more than just one of New Zealand’s most popular vehicle brands, we’re all about community, offering a hand and pitching in to get things done,” said Mr Aquilina.
“We’d also like to recognise Ryan and his generous offer, and wish him every success as he plays in the World Cup of Golf in Melbourne – and hope he shoots as many birdies as possible.”
