NEW SWISS-ARMY KNIFE OF TRUCK WORLD ON SALE THIS WEEKEND

NEW SWISS-ARMY KNIFE OF TRUCK WORLD ON SALE THIS WEEKEND

Pricing for the Holden Colorado, the new Swiss-army knife of the truck world thanks to its outstanding versatility and all-round functionality, has been released only days before it goes on sale in New Zealand.

The new model features a completely new interior and redesigned exterior, as well as exponential improvements to ride comfort, quietness, vibration and handling.

Furthermore, advancements including MyLink system with colour touch screen and Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, auto headlights, LED daytime running lights, seven airbags and electric power steering are now standard across the range.

“The value equation offered by Colorado is better than even before, with new standard features equating to thousands of dollars of added enhancements,” said the Managing Director of Holden New Zealand, Kristian Aquilina.

“Pleasingly, we have been able to maintain carry-over pricing for two-wheel drive models and just a $1,000 increase for four-wheel drive variants.”

Pricing starts at just $39,900 for the entry LS model, while the top of the range LTZ and Z71 trims add a new level of safety and convenience with Front Park Assist, Forward Collision Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Tyre pressure monitor, power folding exterior mirrors and rain-sensing windscreen wipers.

“Thanks to a fresh new look, 3.5-tonne towing, car-like levels of refinement as well as enhanced ride and handling plus increased specification, we’re confident Colorado will build on its position as the top selling model in the Holden range,” said the Managing Director of Holden New Zealand, Kristian Aquilina.

“It is perfect for workhorse requirements during the week, then family duties on the weekend.  It is an absolute revelation and is a very visible way to champion our model portfolio rejuvenation.”

Launching in conjunction with the new model is a wide-ranging suite of 28 all-new genuine accessories (taking the total number of accessories available to 77), all of which further enhance the look and functionality of the new Colorado.  Many of the parts were first seen on the Colorado Xtreme Showcar when it visited New Zealand in June.

“Colorado buyers are huge fans of personalising their vehicles and this is the biggest range of genuine accessories we’ve ever launched with a new model,” said Mr Aquilina.

“Genuine accessories have genuine benefit as they are developed, tested and validated in conjunction with the vehicle programme and are designed to operate in conjunction with model-specific safety systems.”

Genuine Holden accessories available for the Colorado include frontal protection accessories (such as a new nudge bar and bull bar, available in black or polished finish), cargo space and towing accessories (including tray liners and tow bars) and off-road accessories (featuring snorkel, fender flares and underbody protection system) plus a LED Light Bar and handy integrated Rear Step.

“We’re really excited to be launching the new Colorado, especially with such an outstanding pricing proposition complete with enhanced value and added specification complete with a fresh new look,” said Mr Aquilina.

“We can’t wait for it to arrive in showrooms and continue to drive the Holden model rejuvenation and transformation story.”
